Earlier in the show we also heard the Albinoni's 'Oboe Concerto in B minor', which will be played by the Exeter Symphony Orchestra (including flautist Ruth Molins) and oboe soloist Althea Talbot-Howard at their concert at St David's Church this Saturday. At that concert, Althea will also play cor anglais in the ESO's performance of James MacMillan's "The World's Ransoming".

Although we did not have any suitable recordings, there was time to mention Ruth's forthcoming concert with her husband, jazz guitarist Jesse Molins, and bass-player Al Swainger. They will be playing exciting Latin and French jazz in a lunchtime concert at the Exmouth Music Festival - Wednesday 29th May at Exmouth Library.
Full details on the concerts website - or on the special post about Ruth Molins herself.
Many thanks to Ruth for a very special morning of music!
