EMG Symphony Orchestra Announces New Associate Conductor - Press Release from Ellen Stratton

EMG Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce the appointment of Tony Hindley as the orchestra’s new Associate Conductor.  Tony is a highly experienced musician and has played with most of the professional orchestras in Scotland such as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Scottish Opera as well as other orchestras in the north of England including the CBSO, Northern Ballet Theatre and Manchester Camerata.  Regular EMG supporters will also recognise him from the orchestra’s own trumpet section

Tony is working alongside Musical Director Marion Wood to prepare EMG Symphony Orchestra for their next concert, which takes place on 21 November in Exeter Cathedral, and will conduct the opening piece of the concert, Kabalevsky’s Colas Breugnon Overture.  Tony describes his appointment as a tremendous opportunity to work more closely with some of the most talented players in the South West.
